deathrite - s/t

it seems that, once started with the pruchase of a record from the want list, the other records of the band simply fall in my lap hassle-free. in a lot of cases, that is. so happened with deathrite. i had their sophomore record 'into extinction' in my possession as long as it was released in 2013. after i recognised how good this band was, i was out for their self-titled debut.
it was unleashed in 2011 and of course, two years after that, i was hopelessly too late for a limited coloured copy. to my misfortune the record never showed up on ebay or the like either. but soon after i pre-ordered this year's 'revelation of chaos', deathrite's latest recorded bastard, a discogs message came my way telling me my desired version of the self-titled album was available. for a more than reasonable price, too.
destiny? two years there was not the faintest trace of the clear vinyl and timely to the new album it was there for the taking. so, who knows? when i finally got the record and threw it on the turntable, i was blown away by how good this fucker was sounding. there is an often used term floating around when it's about deathrite's musical style. death 'n' roll. the record hits this term's nail on the head. furious and snotty. easily their best material.
i mean, i love the two following records as well, but they evolved a more death metalish sound. that is not even a complaint, i just really like the punk attitude of this first release. bang your head or piss off! check that whole damn thing at their bandcamp. my copy has a stamped ten on the a-side label. couldn't find any information about that. the conclusion stands to reason that this might be the individual number of this copy. bad ass cover art! 157 made on clear with screenprinted b-side. per koro records. 2011.
